Local History Collection

The library is subscribed to the following newspapers: The Buena Vista County Journal and The Storm Lake Times Pilot. The library is also subscribed to the Newell-Fonda CSD Newsletter. 

We keep our newspapers on hand for 6 months. 

The library has Newell and Newell-Fonda yearbooks available for reference checkout, they are allowed out for 5 days total. 

There are many other local materials in our collection. Including but not limited to DVD copies of Newell Happening, scrapbooks from the friends of the library, Newell Pepperette's scrapbooks, and cookbooks that were created and donated by local churches.
